OOMA Info |
OOMA is a loose-knit
ministers association, no “membership” or dues. In 1990’s pastors in Oxford/Orion started
meeting to have fellowship, just to get to know each other. Over the years we have started doing a few
things together: National Day of
Prayer, Good Friday Service, Thanksgiving, with
offerings taken for local ministries:
Love INC, Pregnancy Center, F.I.S.H.
We are also sometimes
involved with the Oxford HS Baccalaureate Service. ·

Ball opened with a reading from Ps 77.
Each shared something they were thankful for, and John then offered
the prayer for today from The Divine

Ball distributed a copy of the current program for the service on Sunday Nov
24. |

Rochelle
mentioned a request from Erika Hale from the Oxford Pregnancy Center: she
would like to tell us about Rachel’s Vineyard retreats being held at St
Mary’s Retreat House)
She will come to the January meeting. ·
Don shared
about an issue with a community member who has mental illness who, it
appears, has been stealing. ·
Rochelle
mentioned the Common Ground training for working with mentally ill; she will
contact Lisa Goyette from LOUMC to discuss
scheduling another community training. ·
ONTV will be
asked (by Rochelle) to film, if not available Fr. Mike will ask Oxford TV. ·
Fr Mike reminded OOMA of
their Organ dedication, Jan 26th at 4pm · Sr Rita mentioned an upcoming contemplative retreat with Sr Maria DeMonte at St Mary’s, Sat Dec 7, 9:30 to 2pm. Flyer attached. |
